Rich Through The Years

This page is for the fans to say things about Filter/Richard and make comments on the goings on in current events. They must be comments with some type of coherency and not a ramble or a rant or something that sounds uneducated. So if you want to make a comment about current Filter news or what not, just shoot it off to me, I'll check it out and decide if I wish to post it. Enjoy!!!

"Due to the recent response from a Mr. Richard Patrick to the comments that a Mr. Fred Durst made in Playboy, the media has probally been sitting back having a field day with laughter, so has a site which I will be mentioning soon. As the usual mudslinging between bands keeps alive, so has the bands fans. As fans defend "their" band, there is always someone sitting back and loving all the hate, disrespect, and the childish behavior that has occurred. One that comes to mind is Blabermouth.net.. Url being: http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.asp?mode=Article&newsitemID=3926 . As Filter fans show up at the Limp Bizkit official site board and Filter fans invite the Limp Bizkit fans to the Unofficial Board, the Blabbermouthers are just having a field day.. Come to my surprise, the Filter and Limp Bizkit fans are actually seeing more eye to eye than at recent time, Richard Patrick and Fred Durst are. Most of the fans are wanting Patrick and Durst to settle this out of the Media spotlight. Like people should. Now on the other hand, these punks at Blabbermouth.net are just loving it, especially with false accusements, childish behavior, rude insults, and well, down right dumb comments about this whole thing. Fans of the bands, or any fan of any band that has respect for these two people or bands in general should have a problem with the recent words of the punks. Others are probally thinking we should just over look them and they will go away. Maybe we should, but a few of us feel like we are not been fans if we don't stick up for them. As a fan of Filter, and a fan of select stuff from Limp Bizkit, I encourge all to take up for the two bands and their frontmen. It all boils down between Richard Patrick and Fred Durst figuring this out. Not the media, not the fans, not anyone. But as fans, we can try to protect their decisions. Take up for the band. Don't back down from anyone about it. If we have the love for the music they create, why not share a music love for the band too?? If you do love someone or something, do you not take up for them??

Filter is the shit! Richard Patrick is a freaking awesome person and his vocals are the best.I think Steven Gillis should let the world know more about himself. He's a cutie pie and I'm sure people want to know stuff about him like they know stuff about Richard. The new album rules! Hopefully one day Filter will perform in Rocheter,New York =)

 Obsession or inspiration....?
If I could relive any day of my life,it would be March 31, 2000.  That day was a Friday, the week before had been turmoil, much as my life
during that time, but on that Friday night I was in charge.Should I go to my shity janitorial job, or do I ditch work and go to the Filter show? I decided it had been a long time since I had done anything for myself, so I ditched work. And that was the night my entire life changed. It was the first time I ever experienced an understanding of how powerful and intoxicating music can be. I still feel the impression on my soul. I carry with me the scars of inspiration. They never fade. They
only seem to grow deeper. I am a bass player now, and in my second band since that fateful night. It has been a  very hard battle I have had to fight.  Everyone said I couldn't do it.  Everyone beat me down. But I held my ground and always took myself back to that night that changed my life forever:March 31, 2000 in Tampa, Florida, USF special events center.  Richie, thank you for the inspriation. The next day I began my path by writing a song called Euphoria, and then went out and bought "Title of Record" and "Shortbus".

Wow, the amalgamut for me i cant weigh up.  Its either the first or second best album ever next to title of record.  I do know though that Filter are too good for words and i cant explain how good they make the world.
Neway, i want to tell u an anecdote about my love for Filter. I was having another
stupid conversation with my m8s, and we were asking each other the normal questions we know will piss each other off, because they hurt your brain so much.  You know, stuff like 'if you had to lose one of ur senses (either
sight or hearing) which would u choose.  This time it was would u rather have a dick and no music, or music and no dick!  We sat there, stoned, thinking about it.  It would normally take hours of brain ache, but fortunately filter was playing in the background and i got the answer in seconds.  And so did my fellow filter friends. We would rather have no
penis.  End of story.  Thanks for reading!  Jackxxx

i have been listening to filter for a longtime and realizing the genius behind the music more every day. my 3 small children view filter as there favorite band ages 7, 5, and 4. i just talked to Rich and the fellow amalgamuts on rock line, and was very satisfied to be able
to express my deep admiration of every thing they have contributed to the quality of my life, as music is as essential as water and oxygen to sustain my life. i first saw filter at the orbit room in grandrapids michigan and was blown away by the expirience of being a part of such an intimate performance by richard and the amalgamuts. Richard was down to
earth and bared his heart and soul to us the fans, giving a performance of sincerity of passion. it was the best show i have seen in my life, and having been going to many concerts a year for 25 years, i might know the real thing when i see it. considering the title the amalgamuts, i remember that Richard was standing there considering playing white like that and i yelled at Richard "white like you, Richard" and he looked at me smiled and said "i'm not white" and that really hit home to
me, and i yelled "yea me neither". what a revelation of truth we are an amalgumation of muts. i do not know if Richard and the amalgamuts remember me, but i was the very livid guy wearing a black t shirt with a
glowing dragon on the front. when richard asked people to throw there shirts up on stage for him, i did try but i was so sweaty that i could not peel it off, my apologies Richard. anyway i was very vocal with my interaction with richard and i really appreciate his sincere attention, to us the fans. at one point he reached out and we shook hands. "so cool" Richard you are "The Man" thanks for every thing.

Hi, first of all, Filter kicks ass. And I would just like to say that I went to see the guys on the last date of the Locobazooka tour and I met Rich and Geno and they are two of the nicest guys I have ever met.  So if anyone out there thinks their assholes or dicks...whatever, they're wrong.  They were pleased to sign autographs and greet with their fans and not to mention they put on a kick ass show.  That's all I have to say.  Rock on!
